Scoutmasters Council 52nd Invitational Camporee Lake Frederick • United States Military Academy at West Point2-4 May, 2014

Troop 51 participated in the largest Scoutmaster’s Council Camporee at West Point in it’s 52 year history. 7,000 attendees, 18 events, as much mud as you can handle and tons of fun! Our cadet sponsor was outstanding and Mr. Wright and Mr. Szemkow brought home bragging rights - 1st Place in the Scoutmaster’s Cook-off Main Dish category with a 13-lbs. prime rib.

Our Cadet Sponsor:

Cadet Josh Reed

USMA ’17, A-4

My name is Josh Reed and I am from Denver, Colorado. I was a part of Troop 628 and was a Boy Scout for about 5-6 years. I received my Eagle Scout on November 29, 2010. Some of the high adventure camps I have been to include Philmont twice, once on a trek and another on a cavalcade. I also have gone to the Florida Sea Base and Camp Buffalo Bill in Wyoming. I love everything that I have been privileged to do with the scouts. I am currently a Plebe in company A-4 and wish to go to Air Assault School this summer. Next fall I plan to try out for Combat Dive School. At the moment I hope to branch Infantry and obtain an engineering degree.
